Kumar Parthava also known as Pushpagiri is located at the height of 5624ft above the sea level. Being the second-highest mountain lies in the foothills of Western Ghats, ranges, has an ancient and a famous temple called Kukke Subhramanya. It is situated, in the Tadiandamol, in Kodagu district of Karnataka.

The Kukke Subhramanya temple has its history tradition old and the place itself holds great value among the local residents. People from all over the country, mostly from South India visits this place and offer their prayers. Almost all the time the temples are filling with the devotees.

Being compare, with other treks in that region; this trek is difficult, is beautiful too, and connected easily with the Nature. The trail of this kumara parvatha trek runs through the Pushpagiri Wildlife Sanctuary.

·         Starting Point for the trek: Kukke Subhramanya

·         Duration of the Trek: The trek covers duration of 6-8 hours

Itinerary for the Trek:

Day 0: Start your Journey from your respective hometown.

Day 1: Reach Kukke Subhramanya then Bhattramane and camp for night.

·         Try to reach Subhramanya in the very first morning, then freshen up and complete your breakfast in a Home stay.

·         After having breakfast, take some rest and then start your trek.

·         While starting your Trek to reach Bhattramane for trekking, take the serene and beautiful route of Western Ghats, and enjoy the beauty there.

·         In afternoon, reach Bhattramane and have an authentic lunch there.

·         After taking your lunch, pitch a tent and then rest for some while.

·         At night stay in a tent, have an authentic hot dinner and thereafter, have a sleep in a tent or camp in the lap of Mother Nature.

·         Moreover, be prepared to start your trek in next day.

Day 2: Start your trek to Shesha Parvatha followed by Kumara Parvatha and again climb down to Kukke in the Evening.

·         On Day 2 of the Trek, wake up early in the morning.

·         Freshen up fast and then complete your breakfast.

·         After completing breakfast, start your trek for Shesha Parvatha, which is also famous with the name of False Peak.

·         Followed by Shesha Parvatha, reach at the Kumara Parvatha, take a short halt there, and spend some time enjoying at the place.

·         After that, start trekking down from Kumara Parvatha to Bhattramane.

·         After reaching Bhattramane have lunch there.

·         Complete lunch and move down to Kukke Subhramanya.

·         By evening, you will reach at Kukke Subhramanya.

·         At Kukke Subhramanya, if possible then visit the Kukke Subhramanya temple.

·         Kukke Subhramanya temple is the last spot of the trek and the trek ends here only.

·         From here, you can now start your journey and can move back to your respective hometowns.

·         On the have your dinner, sponsored own self.

Things to Carry:

·         Xerox copy of your Aadhar Card/Voter ID.

·         Carry good quality hiking shoes and socks.

·         Carry extra pair of shoes to wear at Home stay.

·         Carry trekking pole if required.

·         Towels, Toiletries, and other item related to it, Spare Clothes.

·         Carry two liters of Water Bottle along with you.

·         Carry your cap or hat and sunglasses.

·         As, during the trek there are no eatery options are there nearby so it is better to carry snacks, fruits, energy bars and dry fruits or packaged foods in the limited amount.

·         Keep in mind to carry homemade foods, as junk foods are not allowed at the trek.

·         For having, lunch and dinner do not forget to carry two Tupperware boxes.

·         Carry Torches along with torch batteries.

·         Carry raincoats and ponchos in case if rain occurs.

·         Carry sweaters and jackets along.

·         For your electronics, carry portable chargers.
