1. Dragon Quest Builders 2
This Minecraft-inspired RPG games allow players to construct, build, and build some more to their hearts’ content, but the most notable aspect of this sequel is that it builds upon the foundation of its predecessor. Cooperative multiplayer is a welcome addition, as is the fact that buildings and ingredients no longer vanish when you progress to the next world. Dragon Quest Builders 2’s intelligent expansion upon the original game is thematically appropriate, paving the way for a bright future for the franchise.

2. Anno 1800
Beginning the nineteenth century as the leader of your own colony is a lot more enjoyable than it sounds.In Anno 1800, you must strike a balance between social classes, exports, imports, and diplomacy in order to establish a foothold in the new world. This is a management simulation that makes things clear and simple to understand, allowing you to spend more time managing things directly and less time sifting through graphs and charts.
3. The Division 2
This games offer a well-paced co-op experience in a beautiful open universe. It enhances the features that made The Division enjoyable for players by focusing on quality of life and player satisfaction. Though it didn’t significantly stretch the envelope at launch, the solid foundation it established has been expanded upon by Ubisoft’s always-impressive post-launch support.
4. Judgment
As a spinoff of the popular Yakuza series, Judgment exerted considerable effort to carve out its own niche. It is a game with a more serious tone and a new cast, eschewing familiar characters. It was a bold gamble that paid off with one of the greatest Yakuza universe stories to date.
5. Sayonara: Wild Hearts
Sayonara: Wild Hearts is one of the year’s coolest video titles. Sayonara is an audiovisual experience that combines a killer soundtrack with addictive gameplay. As you race through a series of dreamlike levels at breakneck speed, you accumulate hearts in an effort to beat your high score. A must-have for Nintendo Switch and a must-have app for Apple Arcade.
6. Gears 5
Gears 5 is jam-packed with content. There’s the campaign, which takes bold steps in the correct direction; Horde, which remains intense and brilliant for co-op play; and the multiplayer mode, which is a triumph. Escape, a fantastic addition that will only get better with community creativity, and Versus, which has evolved to become enjoyable for both veterans and newcomers, are both excellent additions to the game.
7. Granny
Granny searches the house for the player, taking advantage of any noise they make and placing bear traps to impede their progress. If captured, Granny will knock out the player, terminating the day and returning them to their original bedroom. Other environmental hazards, such as Granny’s spider and falling from the rafters, can also incapacitate the player. If the player is apprehended on the final day, a “game over” cutscene will play and the player will return to the title screen. The player can defend themselves against Granny in a variety of ways, including rendering her unconscious or temporarily blinding her with a variety of devices and weapons found in the home, such as the shotgun and pepper spray.
