When it comes to freemium games that simulate running a restaurant, Restaurant Story was an early adopter. Restaurant Story has been downloaded a sufficient number of times since it was released for the iOS in 2010. Because to this, an Android version was released in 2012, and a sequel followed in 2014. The restaurant-based social game Restaurant Story was also an early innovation.
Restaurant Story may not have the same level of popularity as other social games, but it has maintained a respectable player base over the years. Storm8, the game’s creator, keeps gamers coming back with frequent new drops and events.
Unfortunately, Storm8 discontinued further updates to Restaurant Story in 2019 after the conclusion of the 2018 season. Despite this, the game is still available to play on several platforms, including PCs, so it’s not like the devs have already abandoned it. The 2018 season’s information is the ideal place to start if you want to learn more about this traditional game and its many fans. For additional information about what was added to Restaurant Story in 2018, see the changelog down below.
So this is The New Year Event – January 2
The “So this is the New Year” event, which began on January 2 and had a 15-day target, marked the beginning of 2018 at Restaurant Story. The primary objective of the celebration is to win a resolution cooker and an oven. In addition, there is a side quest for this event with a Dinner Party as a reward.
All About the Glow up Event – January 18
The All About the Glow Up event will take place not long after the New Year’s celebration concludes. There will be a new glowing oven and a new glowing drink maker on display, as suggested by the event’s name. There will also be party hipsters, an underglow fountain, and glowing jar displays during the event. Not to mention the underglow fountain, glow party, and glowing jar display that are must-haves for any eatery. There’s also a side quest that’ll provide you cash from an ATM machine.
Be My Valentine Event – February 1
Be My Valentine Event, with its 5-day objective, was released by Restaurant Story in anticipation of Valentine’s Day. There were also new chocolate-making recipes available during the event, including one that promised a “kissing swan” bonus. Besides chocolate kisses and a heart-shaped pizza, other goodies include a basic stove and a basic grill.
Restaurant Story Year’s Start Event – February 6
The New Year’s Event occurred only a few days before the Valentine’s Day promotion ended. The new lunisolar stove and festival oven debuted at this event. Decorations included a statue of a fortunate dog, a child holding a red envelope, and a spread of traditional New Year’s fare for a family gathering. Restaurant staples such as the happy counter, wealthy table, successful chair, and red festival tiles were also present. When the optional objective is accomplished, the Dragon Dance is unlocked.
Magic & Mystery Event – February 22
Magic & Mystery is an event full of supernatural-themed quests that reward players with the ingredients they need to make the Enchanted Stove and the Faerie Fountain. A rearing unicorn, wishing well, fairy aids, and a magical woodland are among the event’s decorative elements. There will be thaumaturgic tiles for flooring, magical counter service, a mythical forest backdrop, and mushroom tables and chairs for dining. The bear porridge is the bonus objective’s reward.
Some Bunny Once Told Me Event – March 13
I was advised by a rabbit that Easter is a time to get out the colourful range hood and flowery oven. Bunny streamers for the wall, a chocolate bunny, a rabbit parade, and a visit from the Easter bunny are all available to players as restaurant decorations. The decor of the restaurant is rather standard: it has pastel walls, green tiles, an egg search bar, shell tables and shell chairs. The optional aim is to collect a basket of eggs, a spring chick, and a pink bunny waiter.
Springtime for Picnics Event – March 29
The Springtime for Picnics event included a sandwich and beverage station in anticipation of the upcoming season. You may also decorate with a spring wall garland, a picnic spread, a flower pond, or a sunset garden party. The gingham table, picnic chair, picnic basket counter, tulip meadow walls, and spring grass tiles all appeared simultaneously as restaurant staples. If the player completes the optional objective, they will get entrance to the flower grove.
Make It a Better Place Event – April 27
Upgrade the current situation. This celebration is dedicated to our planet Earth. Participants in this environmentally friendly event were offered the option to purchase the land stove and sea oven. There will be a full moon mural, a recycling centre, an earth day monument, and a walk to celebrate the occasion. The floor and walls of the restaurant are covered with flowery pebble tiles, while the tables and chairs are made from recycled wood. When you finish the side mission, you’ll get entry to the Earth Day party.
Restaurant Story Off the Road Event – May 3
The off-road festival is a tribute to street cuisine, and the taco-bout spectacular and its fry-day gadgets are among the highlights. The players may use the city bridges as a barrier, shelter from the rain under my umbrella while we wait in line and adorn the arena with decorations from the food truck fair. A weathered table, chair and counter, city skylines on the walls and tiles from the pavements make up the bare minimum of a restaurant’s décor. Players may earn the sauce counter by achieving the optional objectives.
Pizza! Pizza! In My Tummy Event – May 22
It’s pizza time! A Party in My Stomach on May 22
Those Pizzas! Pizza! The world’s favourite fast food is celebrated during the annual My Tummy event. Players who complete the event’s primary tasks will get either a rustic pizza oven or a contemporary pizza oven as a prize. There’s also a pizza lover wall apron, a stack of pizza boxes, and a pizza kitchen. The pizza tables and chairs, ristorante counter, pizzeria brick wall, and ristorante plank tiles sit above these ornaments. Players who complete the side mission will get a pizza tosser as a prize.
A Father’s Study Event – June 7
The fathers of the world are honoured with a study event. Players may get materials for the charcoal rotisserie and smoker home via the event’s primary tasks. Dad-themed Snow Rider 3D decorations, such as a barbecue competition for the wall, dad golfing, dad sleeping, and dad fishing, were also on hand. The dad’s table, chair, and counter, as well as the wooden walls of the study and the oak floor tiles for the eatery, are all included in the game. After finishing the optional mission, you may visit the hot rod café.
Vacation or Stay-cation Event – June 23
The cactus oven and oasis fountain are featured at the Vacation or Stay-cation Event. Underwater wall murals, coral, a shark tank, and a “jump the shark” game were just some of the decorative options available. The restaurant was decorated for the occasion with shark furniture (table, chairs, and a counter) as well as deep sea walls and vibrant coral tiles. Players may get the cactus bloom, cactus, and dune by completing the side objective or side mission.
It’s Predatorial Fish Day Times Seven Event – July 12
As an homage to the legendary Shark Week, everything sold at Its Predatorial Fish Day Times Seven is related to sharks. The feeding frenzy stove and the shark tooth oven will also make an appearance during this 15-day event. Players may access the wall, coral, shark pit, and leaping the shark decorations from under the seascape for a more streamlined appearance. The restaurant also has shark-themed furnishings, including tables, seats, and countertops, as well as deep sea walls and vibrant coral tiles. The decorative surfboard, obtained after completing a side mission, provides the finishing touch.
