Mutton Paya is the New Flavour of a Growing Number of Non-Veg Foodies in Thane

Mutton Paya

A couple of weeks ago, I had a sumptuous lunch at a restaurant with a few friends and it was one of the best meals I have had outside home.

The main course in the menu was mutton paya of which there were two courses, a wonderful soup to get things started and then the main course, an unforgettable mutton paya masala.

We also had mutton biryani to round off the lunch but the taste of the mutton paya masala lingered on in the mouth. I decided that this is something I must try at home but I still wasn’t sure where to get good quality raw mutton paya.

As I was approaching another weekend, I had done my research and was relieved to find that my favourite online meat store also sold mutton paya online in Thane

Now, I wanted to be doubly sure about this and decided to order right away. At the same time, I was planning to invite the very same friends to lunch with whom I enjoyed that sumptuous lunch a couple of weeks before.

As always, my favourite online meat store delivered the order within 25 minutes and suddenly I had the main ingredient in my hands for what can be a terrific weekend.

All my friends accepted the lunch invitation

It was an unexpected but pleasant surprise for all my friends because they never imagined that I would attempt to cook this new dish so soon after tasting it for the first time.

They knew I loved to cook and they all appreciate my cooking skills but mutton paya was something quite different from all that they have seen me cook so far. That’s another reason why I ordered mutton paya online in Thane

It does involve a different process mainly because the soup is essentially a Central Asian recipe although the mutton paya masala is very much an Indian innovation.

Since this was the first time I ordered raw mutton paya, I did so for just a Kg, which would be good enough for the soup but decided to give it a little twist and make it a paya stew.

The problem was that the paya stew can be a starter but not the main course. I therefore ordered fresh chicken home delivery Thane together with the raw mutton paya.

We were going to have a subdued main course of good old chicken curry and an exotic starter with mutton paya stew, spiced up enough to get my friends hopping.

What makes mutton paya stew so good?

I have a fairly good understanding of mutton and even though the paya was something new, I knew that I’ll figure it out pretty well.

Mutton paya stew is considered to be very delicious mainly due to its flavour and texture. Mutton has a distinct flavour that sets it apart from other meats.

It has a rich, robust taste that intensifies when slow-cooked, making it ideal for stews. The meat’s depth of flavour adds complexity to the stew, creating a satisfying and savoury experience.

When cooked properly, mutton paya acquires a tender and succulent texture. Slow-cooking methods, such as braising or stewing, help break down the collagen in the meat. That’s what encouraged me to order mutton paya online in Thane

This results in a melt-in-your-mouth texture as the long cooking time allows the flavours to penetrate the meat, enhancing its overall taste and tenderness.

The irresistible flavour of mutton paya stew

Mutton is typically cooked with a variety of aromatic vegetables, herbs, and spices. As the stew simmers, these ingredients release their flavours into the broth, creating a rich and savoury base.

The combination of meat juices, vegetables, herbs, and spices infuses the stew with a depth of flavour that is both exciting and satisfying.

Mutton paya stew often includes a medley of vegetables, such as carrots, potatoes, onions, and celery. These vegetables not only contribute their own flavours but also absorb the flavours from the meat and broth during cooking.

They add texture, colour and additional nutritional value to the stew, making it a well-rounded and satisfying dish. I had this in mind while ordering mutton paya online in Thane.

I develop my own cooking process but also follow rules

Mutton paya stew is typically cooked slowly over low heat, allowing the flavours to meld together and develop over time.

This slow cooking process helps to make the meat tender, deepen the flavours and create a harmonious blend of all the ingredients. The result is a hearty and tasty stew that is packed with rich flavours.

The combination of the flavours of the mutton, its tender texture, aromatic broth, vegetable medley and slow cooking process contribute to making mutton leg stew a delicious and satisfying dish.

However, it was not the main course and I remembered that had to also cook the main course with the fresh chicken home delivery Thane that I had ordered.

In the end, it was a great lunch with something new that I tried cooking at home. We had a great time together and it really felt good to hear all the praises that my friends showered on me.
